TROY, Ohio (WDTN) - The man who threatened to jump from a freeway overpass is now charged with disorderly conduct and inducing panic.
Stipes clung to the railing on the State Route 41 bridge in Troy for about a half hour before police were able to take him into custody.
Troy Police Capt. Joseph Long told 2 NEWS the man had just been released from the Shelby County Jail and had walked from Sidney to Troy.
During the incident, SR 41 was closed and freeway traffic was routed off, and around the area. All were reopened just after 12:30 p.m.
The man was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center.
