TROY, Ohio (WDTN) - The fire that trapped several people inside their apartment building in Troy early Wednesday morning has been ruled an arson.
Four of those people had to be rescued from the seven unit building, while three others jumped from the second floor to safety.
Two were taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment. Their names and condition have not been released.
Firefighters said when they arrived at the scene, flames were shooting through the roof.
A total of fifteen people were in the building at 32 Foss Way when the fire was discovered around 3 a.m.
The state fire marshal said the the investigation is ongoing and in its early stages.
