MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) - A baby was rushed to the hospital Thursday afternoon after nearly drowning.
The 1-year old was found in the bathtub of a home at 4450 Piqua Troy Road in Miami County.
Miami County deputies say the mother was using the restroom when she looked over and saw that the baby slipped under the water.
An initial call for help indicated the baby was not breathing. The mother rushed the child to Upper Valley Medical Center by the time medics arrived.
Deputies say the child was saved and was transported to Dayton Children's Medical Center for overnight observation.
Deputies say the incident was accidental. The baby should be fine.
