BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio (WDTN) - A recount was ordered Friday for the proposed tax levy for the Benjamin Logan Local School District.
Director of Elections Matt Damschroder, says the final tally on Election Day was 710 votes for the tax and 710 votes against the tax.
Damschroder says the vote difference does not exceed the number of votes casts by one-half of one percent, triggering the recount.
The Logan County Board of Elections must complete the recount by June 3.
The 4.6 mill levy was the first time since 2000 that the district asked voters for new money.
