BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) - A student's post on Facebook forced the evacuation of a Beavercreek school Tuesday morning.
Ferguson Middle School students were ordered out of their building on Dayton-Xenia Road after a bomb threat posted on Facebook by an eighth grade student was discovered by a parent.
According to police, the student said "the bombing will start at 9:30." The threat was first seen at 8:45 a.m. by the parent who reported it.
The 13-year-old was arrested by Beavercreek Police and charged with inducing panic. He's being held in the Greene County Juvenile Detention Center.
The teen told detectives he posted the threat because he was 'bored.'
No bomb was found and the students were allowed back in the building after about 90 minutes.
Police said the person who called them was to the student's parent.
The family of Dione Payne, the 16-year-old who died after police say he was attacked by two men, are seeking the death penalty.
