FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) - The two suspects arrested in a meth lab bust near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base have been identified.
Melissa Guffey and James Plemons Junior are facing federal drug charges because they were arrested on Airway Road outside of the base, but in an area where Wright-Patt and federal investigators have jurisdiction.
That's when officials say they discovered materials used for making methamphetamine inside the couple's camper.
Officials said the chemicals could have easily exploded or caught fire so they decided to shut down the road.
It was closed for more than eight hours.
The Darke County Sheriff's Office was busy responding to several weather-related crashes Tuesday night. Deputies say many of the main roads are clear but most of the secondary streets are caked in ice and snow.
