NEW JASPER, Ohio (WDTN) - A pedestrian was hit and killed at the intersection of Jasper Road and Grieves Road Saturday afternoon.
The deadly accident happened around 1 p.m.
According to troopers, 60-year-old Darrell R. Bent was crossing the road in front of his house when he was hit and killed by a vehicle.
The Greene County Coroner was called to the scene where he was pronounced dead.
A reconstruction team is in the process of mapping out the accident and troopers are talking to witnesses.
Officials said they don't believe speed or impairment were factors in the accident, but they're still looking into the case.
The crash remains under investigation.
