FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) - Wright State University welcomed the Ohio Board of Regents Chancellor John Carey Monday.
Carey is head of the Ohio agency that oversees higher education.
His visit was part of a statewide tour highlighting the state budget and its impact on universities.
He heard a presentation on a newly designed engineering and math curriculum aimed at keeping students and helping them graduate.
He spoke highly of Wright State and hopes to use its ideas at other colleges.
"Wright State through it's efforts of commercialization, new co-ops, internships on the strengths is its leadership in serving veterans. That's an important issue that we are looking at Wright State as a model," said John Carey, Chancellor.
Chancellor Carey also explained his vision for higher education and wants to provide access and pathways for all students to be successful.
