BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) - The Beavercreek City Schools treasurer is on paid administrative leave.
School Board President Al Nels says the issue is a personnel matter involving district treasurer Stephen Maag. He does not believe there was any criminal activity.
"We have an outstanding staff within the treasurer's office and they're all going to be able to pick up the duties in the meantime to make sure the business of the school board can continue," said Nels.
Nels went on to reassure the the community.
"I am personally very confident that they are going to be able to continue on both educating our children and providing sound resources and fiscal responsibility to our taxpayers," said Nels.
Nels says he is anxious to resolve the matter, however does not know how long a thorough investigation will take.
Maag has been with the district since 2000.
The conviction of a China Arnold for the murder of her daughter has been upheld by a court of appeals.
