DARKE CO., Ohio (WDTN) - A Darke County couple started their Tuesday morning with a shot.
Deputies arrived at a home in the 1000 block of Red River West Grove Road at 2:00 am to investigate a shot fired.
They say the couple that lives there were involved in a domestic dispute over a divorce.
Deputies say Richard Macy, Jr., 36 was drunk when he fired a shot from a revolver into the ceiling of the couple's bedroom.
Officers found him in the barn when they arrived, but arrested Macy without incident.
Two children were in the home at the time. They were not hurt.
Macy is in the Darke County jail on charges of having weapons while intoxicated and aggravated menacing.
