GREENVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) - 88 sex offenders heard a knock at the door Wednesday from Darke County law enforcement.
The Darke County Sheriff's Department and several other agencies completed a compliance check of registered sex offenders in Darke County.
All Darke County sex offenders were accounted for, except one. That case is now under further investigation. Three offenders were found to be non-compliant, but have since been accounted for and their cases reviewed.
One offender, Michael Bunger, was arrested for failure to notify. He was also discovered living within a thousand feet of a school.
The sheriff says it is no coincidence that the compliance check comes just before Halloween.
He says parents will now have updated and accurate information about the offenders living in their neighborhoods.
Darke County sex offender information is available on the sheriff department web site.
