GREENVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) - A Greenville man was flown to a local hospital Tuesday night after he was struck by a vehicle as he ran after his son.
The Daily Advocate reports Andre Johnson, 42, was struck as his 2-year-old son darted into the street outside the Dollar General store at 300 Martin Street.
Rescue crews were called to the scene around 9:30 p.m. and determined Johnson needed to be rushed by helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital. His condition is still unknown.
Police are investigating exactly how the accident happened. Dispatchers tell 2 NEWS additional information will be available once the department's administration gets to work later Wednesday morning.
