DARKE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) - The Darke County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a driver lost control and slammed into a tree.
The accident happened in the 6500 block of Beamsville-Webster Road after 6:30 p.m. Friday.
According to deputies, Daniel McCarty was traveling eastbound when he went off the south side of the road and hit a tree.
McCarty was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital where he was listed in serious condition.
The accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said alcohol is suspected.
