NEW MADISON, Ohio (WDTN) - The Darke County Sheriff's Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in New Madison.
Crews were called to the 2100 block of State Route 121 south of New Madison around 3:30 pm Wednesday.
Deputies say Charles Combs, 69, of Greenville, was riding his Goldwing motorcycle when he lost control on a slight curve in the roadway. They say he was ejected from his motorcycle and struck a utility pole.
Combs was killed at the scene.
This is the sixth fatal crash in Darke County this year.
Homicide detectives are at the scene of a shooting at Love's gas station on Edwin C. Moses Blvd.
