ANSONIA, Ohio (WDTN) - The missing tiger sculpture stolen in Ansonia this week was recovered.
Ansonia Police Chief Frank Shapiro ways eight people are considered suspects, four adults and four juveniles.
Police say one of the suspects admitted to stealing the sculpture during an interview.
The chief thinks the theft was part of a prank that got out of hand.
The tiger is an art project by students at Ben Logan school.
They decorated five tiger sculptures to display around the village.
The tiger weighs about 30 pounds and sat on a concrete slab. The thieves somehow pried it from the slab.
Prosecutors will now review the case and decide about formal charges.
