GREENVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) - A disturbance broke out at the Darke County Courthouse Thursday as a jury inside was deliberating the fate of a couple accused in the death of their son.
2 NEWS reporter Jackie Sprague and videographer Jamar Black were there to witness the incident and recorded what happened.
Sprague witnessed a man trying to enter the courthouse with a knife. She alerted police who, as you can see from the video, drew their weapons and ordered the man to the ground.
We're told man had nothing to do with the trial of Melody and Michael Fisher. A jury is deliberating their fate. Both are accused of involuntary manslaughter and child endangering after their son died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in August 2011.
