SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified the woman whose body was recovered from the reservoir at Buck Creek State Park.
A man called came just before 9:30 pm to say his wife fell overboard from a boat.
An undercover water recovery team was called in to assist. Deputies say crews found her body a little over an hour later.
She has been identified as Ellen Hamm, 54, of Springfield. Officials said an autopsy will be conducted Tuesday.
According to a release from the Clark County Sheriff's Office, cell phone reception was sporadic in the area and the initial call was dropped.
After rescue crews arrived, they saw two signal flares from the caller. A bystander assisted deputies and state troopers on his boat and they traveled to the male caller.
Hamm's body was later recovered. Deputies said they don't believe alcohol was a factor but the investigation continues.
Clayton police are investigating a possible OVI crash.
