SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - Springfield police have made an arrest in a Sunday homicide.
Ryan Baker, 27, was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon.
He is charged with a count of murder for the beating death of Alana Spink, 33.
Police found Spink badly injured Sunday morning in the 200 block of West Jefferson Street.
She died at Miami Valley Hospital Sunday.
Neighbors are shocked.
"No matter what her life was like, she didn't deserve this," said Teresa Schielke. "I would like the cops to come around more often and just be in the neighborhood more."
Police say they are still investigating.
The family of Dione Payne, the 16-year-old who died after police say he was attacked by two men, are seeking the death penalty.
