SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - Gardeners throughout the Miami Valley may have noticed a few sprouts of green peaking through the snow. Many of them are anxiously awaiting for them to bloom but Pam Bennett with the Ohio State University Extension Office said be patient.
"For people we are really disappointed and ready to plant our gardens we are ready to get in the ground and start planting. We are going to have to wait until Mother Nature cooperates," said Bennett.
Bennett said that delay is not doing any harm to plants and flowers.
"Plants are just kind of sitting there waiting for the weather to warm up and they're still quite protected from the winter cold or injury," said Bennett.
