SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - Officers shot and killed two dogs Friday morning while responding to a report that someone was being chased by dogs in the 1200 block of Oak Leaf Avenue.
Police say the caller reported being chased by three dogs between 8:50 and 9 a.m.
The dogs became aggressive when officers arrived on the scene, forcing one to draw his weapon and open fire.
The third dog, which was not injured, was taken to the humane society.
