SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - Sheriff's deputies arrested a suspect in Clark County burglary that appears to be an 'inside job.'
Collier's Family Restaurant at 2800 W. First St. in German Twp. was broken into March 28 around 1:30 a.m.
The suspect tried to take a safe from the restaurant, but was unsuccessful, according to Clark County Sheriff Gene Kelly.
Kelly said surveillance video from inside the restaurant led investigators to 41-year-old Daniel Collier.
Collier, who is an employee of the business and the son of the business owners, was arrested later the same day at his Springfield home by deputies and members of the US Marshal's SOFAST Task Force.
Collier is charged with breaking and entering and safecracking.
He was scheduled to be arraigned in Springfield Municipal Court on March 29 at 10:30 a.m.
Kelly said the case remains under investigation.
