SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - The man accused of a Springfield homicide pleaded not guilty Friday to one count of murder.
Ryan Baker, 27, was arrested July 3 in connection to the death of 33-year-old Alana Spink.
Police found Spink badly injured Sunday morning in the 200 block of West Jefferson Street. She died at Miami Valley Hospital later that day.
Baker's bond was set at $100,000 and remains in the Clark County Jail.
Baker asked the judge for a public defender.
When police and firefighters arrived, Kettering Fire Lt. Craig Moore said the victim was trying to go back inside the burning home.
