CLARK COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) - The horrific images of the explosion at a fertilizer company in Texas has Clark County residents saying silent prayers and Clark County companies promising to keep the community safe.
Deputy Director Ken Johnson of the Clark County Emergency Management Agency is one of those people.
"Definitely, our sympathy goes out to that and very large scale disasters, especially for a rural community and our thoughts are with them," said Johnson.
Some residents who live near Trupointe's growing facility in South Charleston may have concerns the same thing will happen. 2 NEWS contacted Trupointe's nutrient manager Phill Altstaetter. He said residents have nothing to worry about.
"I want to assure you that Trupointe takes the up most precautions to prevent incidents. Our locations are all permitted and regularly inspected," said Alstaetter.
Trupointe is a farming cooperative in Clark County.
An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper was involved in an accident in Clark County Tuesday morning.
