SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - Improvements to Interstate 70 in Clark County are coming thanks to Ohio Governor John Kasich's Jobs and Transportation Plan.
The highway will get a third lane near Springfield.
It is one of 41 projects across the state being funded from the sale of Ohio Turnpike bonds to the tune of $3-billion.
The I-70 project is valued at $19.1-million.
The construction start date is 2014. The state says projects would be delayed decades had the turnpike money not been improved by lawmakers earlier this year.
