PLEASANT TWP., Ohio (WDTN) - Three people died in a head on collision in Clark County Friday night.
The accident happened on Old Columbus Road west of State Route 54 shortly before 10 p.m.
According to troopers, 23-year-old Zachary Fife was heading west on Old Columbus Road when he attempted to pass a vehicle in a no passing zone and collided head-on with a car heading eastbound.
That car, driven by 34-year-old Angela Smith, burst into flames.
Smith and her 26-year-old passenger Andrew Stewart, along with an unidentified male back seat passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
Fife and his passenger, 23-year-old Megan Perkins were transported to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight.
The Clark County Sheriff's Office, Pleasant Township Fire and Rescue, and the Harmony Fire Department assisted on scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
