PLEASANT TWP., Ohio (WDTN) - A Clark County home was destroyed by fire Wednesday evening.
Fire crews from five departments were called to 5627 Pleasant Chapel Road in Pleasant Township around 7:00 pm.
They say the house was engulfed in flames when they arrived.
The family who lives there was not home at the time of the fire, but it is believed a dog perished.
One firefighter was also treated for a heat-related illness at the scene. He was not transported to the hospital.
The Red Cross is assisting the family.
Investigators are working to find the cause, but say the house is a complete loss.
