CLARK COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) - 2 NEWS now knows the name of the suspect accused of breaking into a home on the 800 block of East Blee Road in Greene Township Saturday. Clark County Sheriff Gene Kelly said the suspect is identified Mark Owen.
"The homeowner was home alone with two very small children, her husband was away on business and she looked our her front window and saw this suspect in the front driveway," said Sheriff Kelly.
She said she heard gunshots after her neighbor came to help. The neighbor, Brandon Coffey, fatally shot Owen.
Sheriff Kelly said they are looking into witness claims that Owen was getting drunk and high on drugs at a party prior to the shooting.
Once the toxicology report from the Clark County Coroner's Office comes back and all statements are collected, Sheriff Kelly said they will turn them over to the county prosecutor. The prosecutor will determine if any charges will be brought against Coffey.
