HARMONY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) - Two people were killed early Sunday morning in a wrong way crash on Interstate 70 near Springfield.
Troopers were called to mile marker 63 just after 3 a.m. with reports of a serious crash.
According to troopers, 24-year-old Francois Hagenimana of Kettering was driving a 2005 Scion westbound on I-70 in the eastbound lanes of travel. Hagenimana then collided with a 2003 Honda Accord going eastbound driven by 28-year-old Jason Fricke of Westerville.
Hagenimana and Fricke were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Hagenimana was a cornerback coach for Centerville High School football team. According to the school's website, he was also a 2008 graduate of Centerville High School.
The accident remains under investigation.
