CHAMPAIGN CO., Ohio (WDTN) - A wind turbine project in Champaign County was put on hold Wednesday.
The county voted to have another hearing on the decision to build the second phase of the Buckeye Wind Project.
The Ohio Siting Board already approved 52 of the 56 proposed wind turbines, but county officials say their move Wednesday does not mean they do not approve of the project.
They say it simply means that they want all the townships to have a chance to weigh in on the project.
If the new hearing is granted, the county will meet with the board again on the project.
