WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WDTN) - An Auglaize County hazardous materials crew was called to the Motel 6 at 1510 Saturn Drive in Wapakoneta Monday morning.
According to Wapakoneta Police Department, the response was prompted by the detection of an unknown chemical odor in the building just after 8:00.
The motel was evacuated and the building secured.
Police officials told 2 NEWS the source and cause of the odor has not yet been determined and additional personnel are being called to assist in the investigation.
No injuries were reported.
