ANNA, Ohio (WDTN) - The police chief of the Village of Anna has been placed on paid administrative leave.
A letter from the village mayor to Chief Scott Evans dated Aug. 6 says "our lack of confidence in your professionalism has diminished."
No explanation for the action was offered in the letter.
The leave is for a period of 10 days to 2 weeks.
Evans was asked to turn in his badge, gun, and keys.
He was also told to refrain form going on or into any Village property.
