CELINA, Ohio (WDTN) - Three people were killed in a crash on US 127 in Mercer County Dec. 14.
Investigators said a 2005 Peterbuilt truck driven by Troy A. Brown, 34, of Lone Rock Wis., was northbound on US 127 at the intersection of US 33 when a 2000 Ford Focus driven by Regina D. Spradlin, 50, of Rockford, Ohio, entered the intersection eastbound and was struck by the semi.
Spradlin was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in the car, Bethany Spradlin, 25, and Jordan J. Spradlin, 3, of St. Marys were taken to area hospitals where they were later died.
A third passenger, Gabrial Spradlin, 4, was taken to Van Wert Hospital, and later transferred to Parkview Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Ind. His condition has not been released.
Brown was transported to Mercer Health Hospital in Coldwater. His condition is unknown.
The incident remains under investigation.
