LOGAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) -- - A 16-year-old died in a two-vehicle crash in Auglaize County Monday afternoon.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol identified the victim as 16-year-old Kennedy Schreiber from St. Marys.
According to OSP, Schreiber was driving north on Townline-Kossuth Road just before 3 p.m. Monday. Schreiber reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign at U.S. 33.
Another vehicle driving east on U.S. 33 hit Schreiber's vehicle.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged in the crash.
Schreiber was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other teens in Schreiber's car were taken to St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima with serious injuries.
The driver of the vehicle that hit Schreiber's car was take to Lima Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Auglaize County Sheriff's Office, St. Marys Police, St. Marys Fire, Buckland Fikre, Auglaize County Emergency Management, ODOT and the Auglaize County Coroner's Office assisted OSP at the scene.
A lawsuit filed by applicants who were denied a license is progressing ahead of the September 8th start date for the program.Read More »
