SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - A Clark County man was killed late Wednesday night after losing control of his motorcycle in Pleasant Township.
Joseph L. Cartmell, age 59, was thrown from the motorcycle on Mechanicsburg-Catawba Road 7/10 of a mile southwest of Pleasant-Chapel Road around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
As a result of the crash, Cartmell received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Clark County Deputy Coroner, Roger Burke.
The Clark County Sheriff's Office, the Pleasant Township Fire Department, and Maines Towing assisted at the crash scene. Alcohol impairment is unknown at this time and the patrol's investigation is ongoing.
