West Carrollton Police have ruled the death of an elderly woman a homicide.
Officers were called to 341 Windsor Court Monday night around 7:30 after the daughter of 81-year-old Edith King discovered her body and called 911.
"I would describe her as someone who is really nice would go out of her way to help somebody," said Timothy Day, a neighbor. "If anybody wanted anything, I'm sure if they would have asked, she would have given it to them".
Police said several items were missing from the home, including the King's car, a 2005 silver Hyundai Elantra with Ohio tags
Investigators said they could not locate any forced entry which could mean the victim knew her attacker.
