CLARK COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) - The Ohio Department of Transportation announced they're adding an additional lane to I-70 in Clark County.
ODOT announced plans Thursday to add a third lane to I-70 between Enon Road and US 68 in Clark County.
ODOT wouldn't give a specific starting date, but they hope the project will start in the spring of next year. District 7 Deputy Director Randy Chevalley has a message for those concerned with traffic jams during the project.
"This is going to change once we start this under construction, they're going to have to be patient. There's going to be orange barrels as we add the third lane," said Chevalley.
This project is budgeted for $19-million. Nearly 60,000 vehicles use that stretch of highway daily.
