AUSTIN, Texas (KXAN) - A second suspect has been arrested in a series store robberies that Central Texas police say were committed by "Bug Spray Bandits."
Marcus Mitchell, 21, was taken into custody with the help of police dogs and the Austin Police Department's helicopter unit. Earlier, police arrested 21-year-old Kendrick Clark.
According to a news release issued Friday, "Clark and Mitchell would enter the businesses, bring items to the counter and when the clerk opened the register they would spray them with pepper spray or bug spray. The suspects would grab the cash from the open registers and flee."
They are accused of four area robberies.
