The night we caught up with Erin Chase she was cooking a beefroast with fresh squash, green beans and rice for her family offour. Not only is it a healthy meal, it cost her just $3.59.
What started out ten months ago as Erin simply looking for waysto cut down her grocery bill has turned into a 20 hour a week job.Now she has a website, 5dollardinners.com, which has one of the five most popular blogs in the countryin its category. Chase says she's surprised how quickly the websitehas taken off.
"I'm just a mom cooking meals and sharing them on line," Chasesaid. "So it's been really exciting and I'm really fortunate to beable to share it with so many people because that's what I reallywanted."
