WPAFB, Ohio (WDTN) - Air Force Secretary Eric Fanning is visiting Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Wednesday for a firsthand look at operations.
Fanning already knows his way around the Miami Valley. He is a Centerville High School graduate.
He will be accompanied by Congressman Mike Turner and General Janet Wolfenbarger, another local grad. Wolfenbarger went to Beavercreek High School.
Fanning assumed the post of acting secretary of the Air Force in June 2013. He replaced Michael Donley.
This year, they will help 13 families in need buy toys, clothing and other items.
