FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) - The US Air Force Museum Marathon weekend got off to a rainy start Friday.
The 5K race set to start and finish at the Wright State University Nutter Center was canceled due to the weather.
Vendors were all set to handle the crowd of running enthusiasts, but the rain had other plans.
Instead runners were taking cover under the awnings at the Nutter Center.
Tomorrow's US Air Force Marathon gets underway first thing in the morning at 7:10 am with the opening ceremony on the grounds of the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
Marathon Saturday schedule:
7:10 a.m. Full-marathon opening ceremonies
7:25 a.m. Wheelchair marathon start
7:30 a.m. Full marathon and 10K start
8:15 a.m. Half-marathon opening ceremony
8:30 a.m. Half-marathon start
