KAKTOVIK, Alaska (NBC/KTUU) - Prepare to meet the craziest, or perhaps the bravest, dog on the planet -- all depending on your point of view.
Beaufort is an Alaskan husky with no sense of fear, or perhaps no sense at all.
In the video, you can see him squaring off with an adult polar bear in the city of Kaktovik.
News photographer Kuba Wuls from NBC-affiliate in Anchorage captured the video while on assignment in Kaktovik to look into the village's growing industry of tourism and polar bear-viewing.
It's unclear just what Beaufort was trying to accomplish, but locals who know the dog believe he was either trying to play or protect territory.
Needless to say, it didn't work, and Beaufort eventually returned to his owner.
