TUCSON, Ariz. (NBC/KVOA) - Six tons of canned goods have been turned into works of art at a mall in Tucson, Ariz.
American Institute of Architects in Tucson created the display at the Park Place Mall. The group is trying to raise attention to hunger in Arizona.
The sculptures feature some familiar faces, including former University of Arizona basketball coach Lute Olson, former congresswoman Gabby Giffords, and The Today Show's Savannah Guthrie -- who is a former anchor at the NBC affiliate in Tucson.
The structures will stand until Sunday. Afterward, all the cans will be donated to a local food bank.
