MARATHON, Fla. (AP) — Monroe County Sheriff's officials say Tropical Storm Isaac left little damage in the Florida Keys.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Becky Herrin says there were no injuries and few reports of damage as the storm crossed near Key West on Sunday.

Much of the rest of South Florida remained under a tornado watch early Monday as the remnants of Isaac moved across the area, bringing high wind gusts and rain.

In the Keys, Herrin says a tree fell onto the stairs of an unoccupied home on Big Pine Key Sunday, causing some damage.

Deputies are warning people to take care when driving because of standing water on some roadways.

Schools remain closed in Monroe County through Tuesday. Schools in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties are closed Monday.
