LAS VEGAS, Nev. (CNN/KLAS) - Las Vegas police are searching for a so-called "Mustache Bandit."

They released surveillance pictures and video of the suspect.

Police believe the man is responsible for holding up nine different sandwich and electronic stores.

The video shows the man grabbing cash from the register of one store with a hand on his waist, indicating he's carrying a weapon.

"Some of the robberies that we are seeing, the violence is escalating and the robberies. That's one of the things that concerns me up front is that...uh...the amount of people in the store he pays no attention to. He just commits his robberies. Yeah, you bet. I consider him armed and I would consider him dangerous, just based on some of the things I've seen in the video," said Lt. Ron Fox with Las Vegas Metro Police.

The robbery spree began in April. Police say in each of the hold-up's the mustached man wears a baseball cap. Eyewitnesses say he leaves in a white truck, sometimes driven by another man.
