FEDERAL WAY, Wash. (AP) - Police in Washington state say a man who accompanied his wife to a church for a counseling session shot the woman several times at the church, killing her.
Federal Way police spokesman Raymond Bunk says the 42-year-old suspect called 911 to report the shooting and was arrested at the church on suspicion of homicide.
Bunk says it wasn't immediately clear whether the shooting took place during or just after the counseling session.
Bunk says the shooting took place just before 6 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Federal Way, about 23 miles south of Seattle. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she died. No one else was injured.
Neither the man nor the 38-year-old woman was immediately identified.
The following people have recently been booked into Jail. They may not have been convicted of the crimes they are charged with and are innocent until proven guilty.
