PORTLAND, Ore. (CNN) - That old saying all's well that ends well is certainly true for a tiny kitten in Portland, Ore.
A homeowner heard a kitten crying for help through a basement wall Sunday evening and then called for help too.
Portland Fire and Rescue crews responded.
They used shovels, a plumbing company's tiny camera, and other equipment to rescue the little feline.
After six hours, their hard work paid off. They finally managed to extricate the kitten from a drain pipe.
Firefighters took it to the fire station for the night and named it "Champ."
