That is the very reason I do this monthly review. Whittling down the plethora of sites for you can give you the head start finding the needle in the fashion blog haystack.

This week definitely dictates that with these three niche sites – jewelry, menswear and makeup.

Boticca

Never before has there been a site that has such love for baubles, bling and bracelets. Along with its store site, the blog features writers who have an eye for statements, subtlety and swank.

Their marketplace is curated by a team of experts – from stylist to designers to bloggers – that make finding the perfect piece of jewelry easier, while learning something about the designer behind the creation.

Put This On

This is the perfect site for advice on menswear. From how to lace up dress shoes to black tie affairs to business casual, the writers at Put This On cover the extensive landscape that is men’s fashion advice.

We all want to look our best. What this blog does is dig deeper than just the surface of suits and ties, taking its readers and followers into the core of what looking great is. And that’s feeling great as well.

Whether you are male or female, if you aren’t feeling great about yourself, it won’t matter if you are wearing killer clothes or an old jogging suit. And I think that is the main reason Put This On is appealing. They get that. It’s not just all superficial fashion chat. It’s more than that. Check out this post why.

Makeup Geek

“Makeup Geek is a website that makes applying makeup easy and fun! With a variety of videos on almost every makeup technique, Makeup Geek’s goal is to enhance your makeup skills in the comfort of your own home." - The Makeup Geek

This says to me, it’s OK to experiment, try something new and be bold. Makeup reviews, videos and forums allow for you to get all the info you need from not only experts, but also opinions from other readers.

The site’s creator, makeup enthusiast and music educator Marlena Stell, seen in the above video, offers her expertise and knowledge making makeup and its application seem way less intimidating than it can be on its own.
