(CNN/AP) - A leading lady of entertainment adds "mom" to her resume. Plus, politics takes over the red carpet, and Halloween chills take over the box office.

All your entertainment headlines are in this Hollywood Minute.

Rumor has it Adele is singing a few lullabies right about now.  The “Daily Mail” in Britain reports the 24-year-old Grammy Award-winner gave birth to a baby boy Friday.

“People” magazine said it confirmed the report with a family source.

It's Adele's first child, and the father is 38-year-old boyfriend Simon Konecki.

Adele confirmed Oct. 1 that she has co-written and performed the theme to the upcoming James Bond movie, " Skyfall."

The singer previously posted a picture on her Twitter feed of what appears to be the sheet music cover page for the song, credited to Adele — as A. Adkins — and Paul Hepworth, who co-wrote her hit "Rolling in the Deep."

Rumors have swirled for months that the Grammy-winning British singer had recorded the theme, but there has been no official announcement from producers.

The film, Daniel Craig's third Bond adventure, opens in Britain Oct. 26 and in the U.S. Nov. 9. The cast includes Javier Bardem, Albert Finney, Ralph Fiennes and Naomie Harris.

The theme to the last Bond film, "Quantum of Solace," was performed by Jack White and Alicia Keys.

Meanwhile, the red carpet at this weekend's Carousel of Hope gala was abuzz with talk about the presidential debates.

Here's what a few celebrities had to say:

“I've been enjoying it,” said actress Holly Robinson-Peete. “I don't know if they're swinging any voters. I think if you don't know by now, you'll never ever know.”

“They're hard to watch, because it makes you so nervous and makes your hair come out,” said actress Loretta Devin.

The annual event benefits childhood diabetes.

And thrills and chills dominated the weekend box office.

"Paranormal Activity 4" scared up more than $30 million in its debut weekend.

Ben Affleck's latest flick, "Argo," held on to the No. 2 spot in its second weekend on the big screen.

The film took in $16.6 million in ticket sales.

The animated film "Hotel Transylvania" is still delighting younger audiences, rounding out the top three with $13.5 million, bringing the project's total haul to just shy of $120 million.
