DAYTON (WDTN) - Mangled metal marked the spot where two sport utility vehicles collided Wednesday morning.

The accident happened around 8:45, at the intersection of West Third Street and James H. McGee.

"It was pretty crazy," said Joey Dewitt, who witnessed the crash.

Dewitt said the white Explorer turned in front of the blue Suburban.

The woman behind the wheel of the Suburban then climbed out and, in front of two kids still inside her SUV, she started swinging at the other driver.

"The lady from the blue car, hit the lady in the white car. She punched her twice. I understand people get in wrecks, but to punch somebody?"

A passenger in the Explorer broke up the fight and then waited on police and fire.

Officials said no one was severely injured, but both childre, the women who was punched and her passenger, were taken to the hospital.

The accident is still under investigation, but police say both women could be in trouble.
