A-list Press Release
On behalf of the A-list Ultra lounge we want to send our condolences to the family of Kordero Hunter. This incident last night was a terrible tragedy that should have been avoided. We at the A-List Lounge want to also let local colleges know the we are in support of being a safe place for entertainment contrary to the reporting. We hate to see this happen to anyone especially a young athlete at Central State University, which over half our staff is Alumni and former athletes of Central State University.
Our place of business has been a positive place for entertainment in Dayton for years, and it is our concern to make sure this continues. The A-List and our staff made sure that we took all the necessary steps to prevent this unfortunate tragedy from happening inside. However, once the problem escalates outside it becomes a different ordeal.
It has been reported that the A-List was at capacity and was at fault, we were not near capacity, and the shooting took place outside we are not at fault in this matter. We want to insure the safety of all our patrons and support the city of Dayton by helping out in any way. We would like to extend our network and work with Central State University to sponsor an event on behalf of Kordero Hunter, with the proceeds going to his family for funeral expense. The A-List Lounge wants to publicly apologize to the city and the family for this taking place outside our venue. We also want the city to know we are here for Dayton and will support the Dayton Police in this investigation to insure the safety and security of our staff and patrons. Please don't turn your back on your local business owner over this tragedy. Come and support this young man and his life at the A-List Lounge, dates to be announced.
